Terms of service
Last updated · RankingTop (operator details to be added)
In short: we read the public pages of sites you submit, write fixes and measure honestly. You decide what to publish. We cannot promise any search or AI engine will rank or name you.
1Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and RankingTop (operator details to be added) (“RankingTop”, “we”). By running a proof, creating an account or paying for a plan, you accept them. If you use RankingTop for a company, you accept them for that company.
Contact: hello@rankingtop.app.
2What the service does
RankingTop reads the public pages of websites you submit and reports what stops search and AI answer engines from reading them. It ranks the issues it finds, drafts fixes, and on paid plans runs a daily loop and measures whether your domain appears for a set of buyer questions.
- We read only pages that are publicly reachable. We follow the robots.txt rules for our crawler, RankingTopBot, and refuse private, internal and loopback addresses.
- We draft changes; you decide whether to apply them, in your own CMS or code. We never publish, post or change anything on your site.
- If you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access and read performance data for the properties you choose.
3The free proof
You can run a proof of any public website without an account. Proofs are limited per network to keep the service available.
A proof report is a web page. Its address is based on the domain name, so anyone who knows or guesses it can open the report. Reports are kept out of search engines unless we have marked them public. Do not run a proof if the result should stay private.
4Accounts
- You sign in with an email link or with Google. Keep access to that email account secure; anyone who can read it can sign in.
- Give us an email address you control. We use it for sign-in, receipts, readouts and, until you unsubscribe, product email.
- You may close your account at any time by writing to us.
5Your sites and your responsibilities
- Add a site to a paid plan, or connect its Search Console property, only if you own it or are authorised to manage it.
- Read every draft before you use it. Drafts are written from your own pages and can still be wrong. You are responsible for what you publish.
- Agencies may run the loop for client sites and share reports with those clients under the Agency plan.
6Acceptable use
Do not use RankingTop to:
- overload, probe or attack any website or network, or point the crawler at addresses you are not allowed to reach;
- get around rate limits, address checks, plan limits or spending caps;
- copy the service at scale, resell it outside the Agency plan, or break the law.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or an investigation prevents it.
7Plans, payment and renewal
Prices are in US dollars and shown on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number. Taxes may be added where the law requires.
- The Fix Pack is a one-time payment for one proof. It does not renew.
- Growth and Agency are subscriptions. They renew each month or each year, as you chose, until you cancel.
- A free trial turns into a paid subscription on its last day unless you cancel before then. We email you before it ends.
Cancellation and refunds are covered by the refund policy.
8What nobody can guarantee
Search engines and AI assistants decide for themselves what to rank, quote and recommend. We do not promise any ranking, traffic, citation or recommendation, and any result can change when those engines change.
We report measurements with their source and date. When we could not measure something, the report says “not measured” rather than showing a number. A domain appearing in search results for a question is reported as that, not as a citation.
9Services we rely on
Parts of RankingTop depend on other companies: Google (Search Console and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), and, where enabled, AI and search providers. Their own terms apply to your use of their services. The privacy policy says what each one receives.
10Who owns what
- Your site and its content stay yours. You may use the drafts we write for your site however you like.
- The service, its software and its design belong to RankingTop. These terms give you the right to use them, not to own them.
11Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost traffic, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
12Ending the agreement
You can stop using RankingTop at any time and cancel a subscription from billing. We may end or suspend the service for an account that breaks these terms. If we stop offering a paid plan, we will tell you in advance and will not charge for a period we cannot provide.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction to be added], and disputes go to the courts of [venue to be added].
14Changes to these terms
We will post any change on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects a paid plan, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
